Click here for the details. From a purely ecomonic standpoint, when something is free there is unlimited demand. Therefore, this demand causes costs to skyrocket. And, this leads to rationing of care to 'control' these costs. One of the ways for which the government will ration care is to deny it to the most vulnerable of our citizens: the disabled and the elderly.
